THE VERB 'SER' to be
The verb SER (to be) is highly irregular in the manner it is conjugated. It does NOT follow any pattern. Essentially the only way to remember how it is conjugated is through using it a lot and memorization.
Following is the conjugation of SER (to be)...
(yo) soy | I am |
(tú) eres | you (familiar) are |
(usted) es | you (formal)are |
(él) es | he is |
(ella) es | she is |
(nosotros) somos | we are |
(ustedes) son | 'you all' are |
(ellos) son | they are (all guys or mixed company) |
(ellas) son | they are (girls only!) |
