By the end of this unit, students will be able to talk, write, and understand basic information about sports, athletes, and personal interests in Spanish. They will learn how to ask and answer questions, describe who they are and what they like, and compare sports culture in the U.S. and Spanish-speaking countries. Using words and phrases they’ve practiced, students will engage in conversations, read authentic texts, listen to songs and stories, and even discuss how gender and culture influence sports and identity. Through activities, students will build the skills they need to communicate in real-life situations.
