2.6 Mi Escena Favorita (My Favorite Scene): El Cuento del Rio
This activity will involve you speaking Spanish as best you can without using any notes/reference materials. You will be describing a drawing that a partner shows you from their favorite part of the story El Cuento del Rio.
The expectation is that you will be able to talk about the drawing that you are shown whether it be using isolated words or being able to state level appropriate short sentences. REMEMBER, we're just coming back from an incredibly long break (March-late August) and that you're just in the beginning stage of Spanish 2!!! You are NOT expected to be able to speak Spanish on the level that you speak English!!! So, don't be hard on yourself!
To set up the activity for working with a partner follow the instructions as detailed below:
1. Sketch your favorite part of the story.
2. Write sentences (in Spanish) that describe what is going on in the sketch.
3. Working with a partner, you will show your sketch to them and they will describe (in Spanish) what is taking place to the best of their ability. They might just say words but hopefully, they will be able to state some phrases as well.
4. You will then reverse roles with your partner showing you their drawing and you describing it.
