Students will be able to use appropriate patterns of behavior for Spanish-speaking people in familiar situations (MLS 2.1b)

Students will be able to read, listen to and talk about age-appropriate school content, folk tales, short stories, poems, songs written for native speakers of Spanish  (MLS 3.2a)

What does the expression Super 7 Verbs mean?

How do I use the Super 7 Verbs (soy [I am], tengo [I have], me gusta [I like], hay [there is, there are], estoy [I am], voy [I go], quiero [I want]) to talk about myself and others?

 

Big Idea of the Unit:

The Super 7 Verbs are some of the most commonly used verbs in the Spanish language.  We will revisit the verbs and discuss when and how they are used.  By the end of the unit, you will be able to communicate about yourself and others using these verbs.  You will be able to understand the spoken language, be able to read about others, and write about yourself and others.

 

Specific Assessment Evidence:

Students will indicate their level of proficiency via formative and summative assessment activities involving listening, reading, writing and oral activities.
